Meroyah is guilt. Guilt for playing around with innocent lives, guilt for tormenting Clover, but mostly of all guilt for being a failure. Meroyah manifested as a accumulation of survivor's guilt towards Chara's death. They are a reminder of how Flowey failed their own sibling and a reason to continue a face of carelessness. They live in a brief version of the Dreemur household within a garden of flowers, picking out the golden ones to get rid of. Not even Meroyah truly knows what they represent, but that they just don't like them. They serve as the second sub boss within the Deciducations Zone, joining Clover's cause after being talked down to helping them.

They're very adept at plant magic and use it to tend to their plants and to attack.

APPEARANCE

Meroyah resembles Asriel's best friend and adopted sibling, Chara. However from years of existence, their face is obscured into a void of nothingness except for the same cheeky smile and face cheek. Of course so is their human-like appearance and hair cut but otherwise even their voice isn't the same. Meroyah has dark purple skin with a face completely missing, instead replaced by eternal darkness. The only thing visible isa near-black dark purple cheek marking, and a light purple moth and eye. They have grayish dark purple hair that covers half of their face and leaves the other open with a horizontal cut. They wear a mourning gown of the same color with more vibrant light purple cuffs, flower-shaped tie, band with petals at the bottom splitting the upper and lower body, and rims along the tip of the gown. There is a flower-like hair band on their head that splits out two separate strands of hair. They often have a cheek-to-cheek grin and curved eyes.

PERSONALITY

Meroyah is everything Flowey wished he was before and is now. Cutthroat, careless, snappy, selfish, Meroyah just doesn't want to be hurt again. Their behavior has not changed much from when Flowey first awakened, they just hide that childish fear with an abundance of reckless attitude. They assert themselves as always right and is sarcastically rude. They don't like sappiness at all and definitely avoid physical affection. Regardless, they cannot ignore their heavy weight og guilt. Daily Meroyah hates themself for failing to save their sibling and believes the only way to rectify it is to keep their advice and to play a facade of distance. Meroyah wants to retain that determination to go through even horrible tasks if it means getting closer to a goal. They were an embodiment of Flowey's motivation. Ultimately they come to Clover's cause, but only when their guilt beats their own want to make Chara proud, and still they keep thinking the change is a terrible idea and that they're a failure.

RELATIONS

CLOVER - (partially negative; party leader)

Meroyah knows that they and Clover could've been friends. Flowey could've gotten their help to move on, even at first when it would be unhealthy replacement than accepting them as another person. They tried it, Meroyah found it as a false solution, and they don't want to try again. They're very aloof and overly critical of Clover in an attempt to never grow any sort of attachment. They don't care much about what happens to them, yet ironically at the same time they want Clover to be okay too. They feel very guilty about them and sometimes fail to look at them in the eye sometimes.

DESRIEL - (partially negative; party member)

At first the two got along a lot. Modeled after Asriel and Chara, it made sense. Ironically, Meroyah was the one teased the most which led to annoyed remarks. Still they got along a lot more until Clover became Flowey's new guinea pig. They've since were split regarding whether to stop the RESETS and just let Clover be or continue. Meroyah initially hated Desriel's worries as they saw him as failing Chara again, just like the actual Asriel would. They don't want to be reminded, so they festered a hatred for Desriel. But they can't really hate him either, so they only hold a little bit of disdain.

SNUG - (negative; party member)

Meroyah doesn't like Snug. It reminds them too much about their current state as a flower which adds onto their survivor's guilt. They hate it.

CHAMILA - (negative; former friend)

When they and Desriel grew distant, Meroyah found solstice in the pathological liar. They outwitted her well yet stayed with her as at least someone who had no pity for Clover. When they moved away from the zone, their contact grew less and less until Meroyah ghosted her including everyone they knew. Now in a party with Clover, Chamila likes to remind Meroyah of her own ideology and asserts that they're a failure for helping Clover instead of killing them. Meroyah just ignores her, or tries and fails.
