Desriel, a distorted version of who Flowey was, is the last bit of hope for being better. The friendliest in the subconcious, he saved Clover from being found by the conscious Flower and aims to continue to protect them from capture. They aren't the nicest being, still wilted by pessimism and detachment, but he is the last bit that strongly concerns himself about tampering with lives through RESETS.

Desriel is a strong fire user who alters the heat of his attacks for different affects.

APPEARANCE

Desriel is a decayed and altered version of Asriel. He is a purple goat-like apparition with a creepy smile that has a part of it closed off from the upper jaw melting into the mandible. Their ears are petal-shaped at the tip with a dark purple marking tracing the edges. His upper body appears like a shirt, but it is only a marking, with pale purple ribs that look like shirt stripes. There is an enormous vacity in his chest with a pale purple star of faint determination sticking out representing final hopes for a truly better life. His arms are discolored more reddish from their 'short' with four claws on each hand, the left missing the two fingers in the middle and the right missing the middle finger and thumb. For his lower body, the upper part of his legs mimic dark purple shorts. Beyond his kneecap are legs colored like his head. The left leg is slim while the other leg is puffier. His feet are long and flat with pointy edges. Finally Desriel has a thin tail that fluffs out at the end and matches the color of his legs and face. Desriel, like Flowey, has a amorphous face that can bend into multiple expressions. However for the most part he doesn't use this at all.

PERSONALITY

Just because Desriel aims to be a better person doesn't mean he's completely kind. Far from it, Desriel has problems with understanding the weight of situations. He can grasp that something is dangerous or someone needs help, but his slight ignorance leads him to joke or downplay certain dire situations to make himself feel better. Naturally this makes him a cocky joker who sometimes runs his mouth too much. Despite it all, Desriel genuinely wants to help Clover and feels guilty for what he, as a piece of Flowey, as done to them. He doesn't think he's redeemable and just wants to stop himself as much as possible. He also doesn't like showing any kind of softness....but rarely does for the sake of Clover. Though of course, he's got Flowey's petty comments and snark too.

RELATIONS

CLOVER - (neutral; party leader)

Desriel feels guilty about Clover. The whole reason he even saved them was because he felt that he had hurt them enough as is. Even then, he can still be rude to them and rarely comforts them when they need it and those rare ocassions are extremely brief.

MEROYAH - (neutral; party member; former enemy)

Desriel and Meroyah are two apparitions that are the most familiar with one another in the mind space. Its natural as they've based off of Asriel himself and his adopted sibling, Chara. Likewise, their dynamic is similar. There is less avoidance to risky behavior but Desriel still makes points to not condone harmful habits. He is also the more teasing one out of the time and likes to get on their nerves. Originally, he would stop by and try to get them to at least go beyond the Deciducations forests, however after many RESETS around Clover they drifted apart. Desriel's opposing wish to free Clover from the cycle made him appear unacceptably weak to Meroyah and they barely talk to him.

SNUG - (neutral; party member; former enemy)

Desriel does not know much about Snug. He's mixed. He doesn't like its overly affectionate nature and was horrified when it chased the party. Though he also thinks it is cool while pitying its existence at the same time.
